Venus of Willendorf
This figurine is one of the oldest and most famous of the so-called Paleolithic “Venus” images. This image is deified as the Divine Ancestress - the Clan Mother. This inner vision of Holy Motherhood was externalized in the form of this figure. Her sumptuous figure may have become a symbol of the bounty of Nature and humanity: Our Lady of Abundance.
