The Witches Moon® Exclusive Sickle of Demeter - It has taken almost a year to source the materials to craft this unique piece, which include Albizia Wood and Oxidized Iron. You will notice that this Sickle is very lightweight and can easily be held in the hand. Please know that this Sickle has been created as a practical tool and is very SHARP. We kindly recommend keeping this tool away from children and always keeping it stored in a safe place, preferably inside of its own unique area. The Sickle, and it uses, date back to ancient times, and is most commonly associated with agriculture and the harvest season. It’s magical reputation and representation can impact your practice in a potent and powerful way. Found on the handle of your Sickle is the Triskele. This symbol has been found throughout many histories and corresponds with a variety of similar interpretations. Derived from the word “Triskeles”, meaning 3 legs, the Triskele, or Triple Spiral, represents a cycle in many forms. These interpretations can most prominently be associated with life, death, and rebirth. In addition, it can resonate with the land, sea, sky, or the mother, maiden, and crone. In essence, these representations are vital in our understanding of how important and magickal each process should impact our practice. It is a simple reminder that we are in motion, working through transformative steps, and gaining new insight through each phase. The essence of the Triskele works with the inherent cycles associated with the magical Sickle and should act as a symbol of empowerment as you work with this sacred tool.
