Septarian Stone Pair

Septarian stones are believed to have been formed during the Cretaceous period (50 to 70 million years ago!) when the sea levels were much more elevated. When small sea-life died and sank to the seabed, it turned to sediment, or a nodule, that would later dry out and crack, resulting in the designs you will find on the inside of this stone.
